BicarBlast and Aurora formed a partnership 2 years ago thru the crossraods project for the development of a machine that can clean printingsleeves and rolls on an environmentally friendly way.
The eco-allround machine cleans the rolls/sleeves with a newly developed detergent listed NSF/ISEGA and is versatile in the printing industry.

In addition to our lined and squared notebooks, AURORA in 2018 will present a new collection of DOTBOOKS with ruling made up of dots. Two sizes - 9.5x14.5 cm and 14x21.5 cm - with cover in reptile grain imitation leather. 192 pages printed on soft cream-coloured paper, always with closing elastic band, ribbon bookmark and useful pocket at the back. A modern colour range is presented in an attractive counter display.

The results of the satisfaction survey are available now!
AURORA wants to be a reliable partner for all its customers. We want to achieve this goal via clear internal structures and via permanent process optimization. We also regularly re-evaluate and reconsider everything we do. This was the reason why we sent a satisfaction survey to our customers in November 2014. We asked to evaluate a number of our most important key business aspects and the functioning of our various departments.
Customers could give their appreciation on all business units via five marks: Bad (- 5) / Unsatisfactory (- 2) / Satisfactory (0) / Good (2) / Very good (5). Just as during the last survey in 2010 we achieved a response rate of 11%. The reactions, coming from the various turnover categories, can therefore be considered as representative for the average customer expectation. As this survey contained the same questions as the last survey, we could immediately assess the evolution.

We are pleased to give you a short overview of the most important results of this survey:
General impression of Aurora
With an average evaluation of 3.5 Aurora significantly improved its scores compared to 2010 with 1.8 points.
The company image (3.3) is nevertheless assessed lower than the general customer satisfaction (4). The marketing department has an important role to play in lifting this customer perception to the same level as Aurora's performance.
With an evaluation of 3.8 Aurora is seen as a reliable partner, but there is still room for improvement. 96% of the customers want to recommend Aurora to their business relations.
Customer Service – internal customer service.
In this category we wanted to know more about the availability and the competence of the inside sales contact. Also the promptness and the follow-up of the inquiries were assessed.
Compared to 2010 (2.1) a major improvement has been achieved again (3.7).
With a slightly lower score of 3.4 our customers indicate that the response time for requests for quotes can be improved.
Sales – external customer service
But apart from the quality of the visits, familiarity with the files as account manager was an important subject.
Through a better evaluation of the knowledge of the assortment (4.2) the average score (3.9) got a clear boost compared to the previous survey held in 2010 (1.7).
Aurora branding - The Aurora Standard Assortment
The recent repositioning of the Aurora branding appeals to the customers.
With a score of 3.0 the Aurora filing collection 4File does momentarily not follow the same evolution as the other ‘stationery’ products.
As a manufacturing company quality, both of our products and production process, is key for us.
Here we also notice an improvement in quality (from 2.4 in 2010 to 4.1 in 2014), but with a mark of 3.8 our filing products clearly score less than our stationery products. The packaging should be reconsidered because the score of 2.8 still leaves room for improvement.
The survey also addressed lead times, backorders and labelling of the shipment.
With an assessment of 3.4 substantial progress has been made compared to 2010 (1.8), however the score still remains under the overall average.
The fact that Aurora makes an appeal to external transport companies can have a certain influence on this. The drivers got a score of 3.2. This is taken into account in the evaluation.
In the marketing field we asked for your appreciation of our printed catalogues, of the presentation and the user-friendliness of our on-line ordering platform and the website, and also of our presence in the various media.
Divergent reactions were registered for each subject, thus contributing to an average score of 2.7 (1.4 in 2010).
The website and the use of the on-line ordering system both got a score of 2.9. This score is obviously not yet at the same level of the printed catalogue (3.5). But with a score of 2.9 the functionality of the ‘my Aurora’ ordering system is found to be good. We intend to continue in making this on-line system user-friendlier in the near future.
With a score of 1.6 our presence in the media is the sole subject which ‘only’ got a satisfactory mark. Despite the substantial improvement compared to 2010 (0.2) budgetary choices will be necessary.
In conclusion we can say that we made great progress since 2010. This step forward would not have been possible without the effort of all of our devoted colleagues who do their very best day after day. It will be difficult to do such a big step forward again but we will continue along the same way and we are very keen to keep a close eye on things in the future.

In the course of 2014 a significant number of our collections will be PEFC-certified. PEFC stands for ‘Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes’ and is the most important forest certification system in the world. The certificate guarantees sustainable forest management which is environmentally friendly, socially responsible and ecologically viable.

With orange as additional colour our high-gloss binding notebooks receive a fifth cover. In 2014 these notebooks will receive a black spiral, which make the collection even more splendid.
The ADOC BIO-series is henceforth produced with environment-friendly, degradable rings, which after only six months are for 90% transformed into CO2 (carbon dioxide), H2O (water) and humus (according to the ISO 14855 standard).
Our MANO-collection, finished with the ADOC binding system, will be expanded. The Notebooks with covers and tabs will be supplied with a printed Polypro-cover in the well-known MANO-design.
AURORA diaries go for style in 2014
The new Twin series of our AURORA calendar collection goes in full for 'trendy' and 'stylish'. These stylish diaries are available in handbag-and desk size with a full color cover with mat and shiny elements combined.
New in the AURORA-range are the 16-months diaries with week-to-page and week-to-view contents. These diaries are available in a handy pocket size, with spiral Perl binding, for optimal use.
The ADOC-agenda is the appropriate instrument for those who prefer a handy Organizer, in which you can remove, add or move pages easily. Fashionistas will be pleased with the 'fashion' polypro covers with matching ring color and elastic closure. This makes your organiser a striking eye catcher.
The new MANO collection has expanded
The introduction of a new design is always exciting, but the first reactions to the new Mano design are promising.
Beside the well-known notepads and exercise books, the MANO notebooks will for the first time be introduced in 2013 with an ADOC binding. Beside the MANO collection‘s quality and luxury, this latest eminent MANO assortment offspring possesses all advantages of the ADOC collection.
Being multifunctional, adaptable and easily expandable this new application is a perfect fusion of two assortments.
In 2013 also ADOC will continue to receive its fair share of attention.

On-line purchase orders can be entered via the classic product pages, but it is also possible to import data from a personal Excel sheet in order to link your personal purchase order system to the benefits of on-line ordering.
